AEA Europe has team members based in London and Munich. The senior team has many years of experience investing in Western Europe and benefits from the global insights and expertise of AEA’s broad network of relationships.

Founded as American European Associates, we have always had a strong presence in Europe, including several prominent industrial families as investors. AEA Europe generally targets investments with an enterprise value between €100 to €500 million, concentrating on global businesses with headquarters in Western Europe. Our London office, established in 1999 and our Munich office, established in 2009, are fully supported by our professionals in the U.S. and Asia, providing hands on support to our global efforts in the region. This includes the thorough evaluation of global businesses with European operations during diligence and supporting current portfolio companies with European growth strategies.
