David Manzano
Partner

David joined AEA in 2007 as a member of the newly formed senior debt team and was promoted to Partner in 2011. Along with Nannette McNally, he is responsible for managing AEA’s two senior debt portfolios.

Prior to joining AEA, David spent almost five years at Callidus Capital Management, LLC, a manager of Collateralized Loan Obligations, as a principal and portfolio manager. Prior to joining Callidus in 2002, he served as a consultant to The Carlyle Group evaluating stressed loan portfolios. Prior to this consulting engagement, David was a vice president at Merrill Lynch & Co. and spent four years in leveraged finance focused on originating, structuring and marketing high yield bank loan and bond transactions for event-related financings such as corporate acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations. Prior to Merrill Lynch & Co., David spent four years as a credit analyst at The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. in both New York and Hong Kong and is a graduate of the bank’s credit training program.
