James joined AEA in 2008 and focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials and Services sectors. He currently serves on the boards of API Technologies and Swanson Industries.

Prior to joining AEA, James was a strategy consultant with Bain & Company in Boston and Los Angeles.

Justin joined AEA in 2006 and was promoted to Partner in 2018. Justin focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrial Products and Services sectors. He currently serves on the boards of TricorBraun and Visual Comfort & Co. He previously served on the board of GMS.

Prior to joining AEA, Justin worked at Brera Capital Partners, a global private equity firm based in New York. Prior to Brera, he worked at Banc of America Securities in both the mergers and acquisitions group and the leveraged acquisition finance group.

Louie joined AEA in 1998 as an Associate and became a Partner in 2010. He focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials and Services sector. He currently serves on the board of BMS Enterprises, Numotion, SitelogIQ, Springs Window Fashions and Visual Comfort & Co. He also served on the boards of former AEA portfolio companies GMS, Henry, RelaDyne and SRS Roofing Supply.

Prior to joining AEA, Louie was in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley.

Brian joined AEA in 1999 and became a Partner in 2003. He was promoted to President in 2018 and to Chief Executive Officer in 2019. He focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials sector. Brian currently serves on the boards of Evoqua Water Technologies, Excelitas Technologies, Springs Window Fashions, Swanson and Visual Comfort & Co. He also served on the board of At Home and the boards of former AEA portfolio companies CPG International, GMS, Henry, Houghton International, Noveon International, Pregis, Sovereign Specialty Chemicals, SRS Roofing Supply and Unifrax.

Before joining AEA, Brian was an executive at BT Capital Partners, the private equity group of Bankers Trust. At BT Capital, he focused on companies in the chemicals, general industrial and services sectors. His investments included leveraged buyouts in the chemicals and packaging sectors. Before entering the private equity industry, Brian advised corporate management and boards of directors throughout the world on financial and strategic issues. One such position was with the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley, during which he was located in New York and Hong Kong. He also was in the New York office of McKinsey & Co., advising clients on corporate and divisional business strategy. During his tenure there, Brian focused on clients in process industries and other industrial businesses, including chemicals, pulp and paper, agribusiness and general industrial manufacturing and services.

Martin Eltrich joined AEA in 2001 and became a Partner in 2003. He leads the Consumer investment practice and currently serves on the boards of 1-800 Contacts, 24 Hour Fitness, At Home, Jack’s Family Restaurants, Melissa & Doug, ThreeSixty and Traeger Wood Pellet Grills, and previously sat on the board of Brand Networks. Prior to AEA’s exit from the investment, Martin also sat on the boards of Acosta, Burt’s Bees, Cogent Healthcare, Henry Company, Li & Fung Distribution, Shoes for Crews and Tampico Beverages.

Before joining AEA, Martin was an investment banker covering the consumer products industry. He was an investment banker at Greenhill & Co. in New York, joining that firm at its inception in 1996. Prior to joining Greenhill, Martin was a banker in the consumer products group at Morgan Stanley.
