Anneka joined AEA in 2010 and focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials and Services sectors. She currently serves on the board of SitelogIQ.
Prior to joining AEA, Anneka was an analyst at The Blackstone Group in the restructuring and reorganization group and prior to Blackstone, an analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the leveraged finance group.
Vinay joined AEA as an Associate in 2004 and became a Partner in 2016. Vinay focuses on investments in the Value-Added Industrials and Services sectors. In 2006, he relocated to Hong Kong for three years to help AEA establish its Asia presence and evaluate investment opportunities in the region. He currently serves on the board of API Technologies, Evoqua Water Technologies and Excelitas Technologies. He also served on the board of former AEA portfolio company Dematic.
Prior to joining AEA, Vinay was a strategy consultant with Bain & Company in San Francisco and London.
Rahul joined AEA in 2002 as an Associate and became a Partner in 2014. He took on the role of Partner and Head of Strategic Relationships in 2021. Rahul focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials sector. He is currently on the board of Spectrum Plastics Group, Swanson Industries, and Verdesian Life Sciences, and previously sat on the board of TricorBraun. Rahul also served on the board of former AEA portfolio company Pro Mach.
Prior to joining AEA, Rahul was a strategy consultant with Bain & Co. in Chicago, advising both corporate and private equity clients on strategic issues including business unit strategy, investment evaluation, post merger integration and operations. During his time there, he advised clients across a wide variety of industries including general industrials, consumer products, retail, telecommunications and services sectors.
Tom joined AEA in 1999 and became a Partner in 2003. He focuses on investments in the Value-Added Industrials and Services sectors. He currently serves on the boards of API Technologies, NES Global Talent, Numotion, PST, SitelogIQ, and TricorBraun. He also served on the board of Evoqua Water Technologies. Tom previously served on the boards of former AEA portfolio companies Behavioral Interventions, Cogent Healthcare, Dematic, Houghton International, Kranson Industries, Northern China German Automotive, Pregis, Pro Mach, RelaDyne and Unifrax.
Before joining AEA, Tom was with the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch, where he advised a broad range of private equity investment firms. As part of what was at the time the leading financial sponsor coverage practice on Wall Street, he worked with many large-cap and middle-market firms on all aspects of their investment activities.
Tom is a certified public accountant.
Brian joined AEA in 1999 and became a Partner in 2003. He was promoted to President in 2018 and to Chief Executive Officer in 2019. He focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials sector. Brian currently serves on the boards of Evoqua Water Technologies, Excelitas Technologies, Springs Window Fashions and Visual Comfort & Co. He also served on the board of Swanson and the boards of former AEA portfolio companies At Home, CPG International, GMS, Henry, Houghton International, Noveon International, Pregis, Sovereign Specialty Chemicals, SRS Roofing Supply and Unifrax.
Before joining AEA, Brian was an executive at BT Capital Partners, the private equity group of Bankers Trust. At BT Capital, he focused on companies in the chemicals, general industrial and services sectors. His investments included leveraged buyouts in the chemicals and packaging sectors. Before entering the private equity industry, Brian advised corporate management and boards of directors throughout the world on financial and strategic issues. One such position was with the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley, during which he was located in New York and Hong Kong. He also was in the New York office of McKinsey & Co., advising clients on corporate and divisional business strategy. During his tenure there, Brian focused on clients in process industries and other industrial businesses, including chemicals, pulp and paper, agribusiness and general industrial manufacturing and services.
John joined AEA in 1999 as a Partner and Head of AEA’s then newly-formed European operations based in London. In 2002, he became President of AEA while continuing to head European operations and lead AEA’s global Value-Added Industrials team. John became CEO of AEA in 2006 and was named Chairman in 2012. As CEO, he was responsible for AEA’s investment review process and overall strategy and operations. He was also instrumental in the creation of the AEA Private Debt Funds and the AEA Small Business Funds. In 2019, John became Executive Chairman.
John has served on the board of numerous AEA portfolio companies in addition to various other companies. John serves as the chairman or member of the investment committee for all the various AEA private equity and private debt funds.
Before joining AEA, John held various positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, including global head of the chemicals group, member of the European investment banking department’s management committee, head of the European acquisitions, leveraged finance and financial sponsors group, and head of the European natural resources group. Earlier in his career, he was a managing director at Schroder Wertheim in New York and held a number of industrial positions at Atlantic Richfield in Philadelphia.
