Evan joined AEA in 2015 as a member of the Middle Market Private Equity team. He rejoined AEA in 2019 after receiving his MBA at London Business School. Evan focuses on AEA’s investments in Europe and the Value-Added Industrials and Services sectors.

Prior to joining AEA, Evan was a strategy consultant at Bain & Company in Atlanta and London.

Haroon joined AEA in 2014 and focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials and Services sectors.

Prior to joining AEA, Haroon worked in the investment banking group at Morgan Stanley in New York, focusing on mergers & acquisitions and financings for power & utility companies.

Frank Herr is an Operating Executive based in AEA Shanghai.

Prior to AEA, Frank spent 11 years with Eaton Corp in China, overseeing the hydraulics and power distribution businesses, and was most recently general manager of greater China hydraulics. During his time at Eaton, Frank led the integration work after Eaton acquired Moeller Electric and Changzhou Senyuan Electrical, responsible for growing sales, improving profitability and setting up strategic directions for its business and engineering activities. Frank was also instrumental in Eaton’s acquisition of Winner Hydraulics, a leading Hong Kong / mainland China based hydraulic hose and fitting manufacturer in 2004. He was fully responsible for both the establishment of a green field facility in Jining, China and an Eaton Electrical Asia Pacific R&D center in Suzhou. Prior to Eaton, Frank spent four years with Arvin Meritor, a major automotive supplier, and led the set up of two joint ventures with key OEMs as well as the establishment of a wholly owned business in China.

James joined AEA in 2008 and focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials and Services sectors. He currently serves on the boards of API Technologies and Swanson Industries.

Prior to joining AEA, James was a strategy consultant with Bain & Company in Boston and Los Angeles.

Rahul joined AEA in 2002 as an Associate and became a Partner in 2014. Rahul focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials sector. He is currently on the board of Spectrum Plastics Group, Swanson Industries and TricorBraun. Rahul also served on the board of former AEA portfolio company Pro Mach.

Prior to joining AEA, Rahul was a strategy consultant with Bain & Co. in Chicago, advising both corporate and private equity clients on strategic issues including business unit strategy, investment evaluation, post merger integration and operations. During his time there, he advised clients across a wide variety of industries including general industrials, consumer products, retail, telecommunications and services sectors.

Brian joined AEA in 1999 and became a Partner in 2003. He was promoted to President in 2018 and to Chief Executive Officer in 2019. He focuses on AEA’s investments in the Value-Added Industrials sector. Brian currently serves on the boards of Evoqua Water Technologies, Excelitas Technologies, Springs Window Fashions, Swanson and Visual Comfort & Co. He also served on the board of At Home and the boards of former AEA portfolio companies CPG International, GMS, Henry, Houghton International, Noveon International, Pregis, Sovereign Specialty Chemicals, SRS Roofing Supply and Unifrax.

Before joining AEA, Brian was an executive at BT Capital Partners, the private equity group of Bankers Trust. At BT Capital, he focused on companies in the chemicals, general industrial and services sectors. His investments included leveraged buyouts in the chemicals and packaging sectors. Before entering the private equity industry, Brian advised corporate management and boards of directors throughout the world on financial and strategic issues. One such position was with the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley, during which he was located in New York and Hong Kong. He also was in the New York office of McKinsey & Co., advising clients on corporate and divisional business strategy. During his tenure there, Brian focused on clients in process industries and other industrial businesses, including chemicals, pulp and paper, agribusiness and general industrial manufacturing and services.
