Fred Lynch is an Operating Partner on AEA’s Middle Market Private Equity team. In his role, he is primarily focused on working with portfolio companies to maximize value creation through improved operating performance, strategic planning, leadership development and coaching, industry networking and cross-portfolio best practice development. He also works with AEA’s ESG Committee on the implementation of the firm’s ESG initiatives and serves as Co-Chair of AEA’s Senior Advisory Council. Fred serves on the boards of Process Sensing Technologies and Window Nation, and previously sat on the board of Traeger Pellet Grills Holdings.

Prior to joining AEA Fred served for 12 years as President and CEO of Masonite International (NYSE:DOOR) a leading global building products manufacturer. Fred joined Masonite from Alpharma (now Allergen), a global pharmaceutical company, where he served as President of the Human Generics Division and Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain. Prior to joining Alpharma in 2003, Fred’s career spanned 18 years at Honeywell International (formerly AlliedSignal), most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Specialty Chemical Business.

Fred graduated from Villanova University where he earned a B.S. in chemical engineering. He also earned an M.B.A. from The Fox School of Business at Temple University while working full time.

Fred has served on the board of Ingevity corporation (NYSE:NGVT) since 2016 and is chair of the Leadership development and compensation committee. Fred has also served on the board of not-for-profit Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida since 2014 and currently serves as the Chairman of their Strategy Committee.
