Tim is an Associate on AEA’s Middle Market Private Equity team in London.

Prior to joining AEA, Tim was an Associate at Deutsche Bank in London. Tim graduated from the University of Nottingham where he earned a BSc (Honors) in Economics.

Danyal joined AEA in 2020 as an Associate. Prior to joining AEA, Danyal was an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in the industrials group in London and at Deutsche Bank in the investment banking group in Frankfurt, covering the German-speaking region. Danyal graduated from Goethe University Frankfurt, where he earned a B.S. (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.

Nishant joined AEA in 2019 as an Associate and became a Senior Associate in 2021. Prior to joining AEA, Nishant was an associate at Centerview Partners in London. Nishant graduated from the London School of Economics, where he earned a B.S. (Hons) in Economics.

Elliot joined AEA in 2018 as an Associate and was promoted to Vice President in 2021. Prior to joining AEA, Elliot was an investment banking analyst at Lazard Frères & Co. in the industrials group. Elliot graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics.

Ramzi joined AEA in 2018 as a Partner in the London office. He focuses on AEA’s investments in Europe and currently sits on the boards of Polygon and PST.

Prior to joining AEA, Ramzi was a partner at TPG Capital in London, where over the last 18 years he has completed investments in various sectors, including retail and consumer, industrials, building materials, as well as technology and telecom. He also has experience across geographies, with transactions in several markets including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Turkey, the Middle East, and Australia. Ramzi started his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in New York, where he advised private equity firms on all aspects of their investment activities.

Marco joined AEA in 2017 and focuses on investments in Europe.

Prior to joining AEA, Marco was an associate at Morgan Stanley in the UK mergers & acquisitions team.

Alex joined AEA’s London office in 2004 as an Associate and became a Partner in 2015. Alex currently focuses on AEA’s investments in Europe. In 2006, Alex relocated to Hong Kong for three years to help AEA establish its Asia presence and evaluate investment opportunities in the region. He is currently on the boards of LoneStar, NES Global Talent, Sparrows and Verdesian Life Sciences. He also served on the board of former AEA portfolio company Industrial Acoustics Company.

Prior to joining AEA, Alex was at PwC in the Transaction Services team in London. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001.

John joined AEA in 1999 as a Partner and Head of AEA’s then newly-formed European operations based in London. In 2002, he became President of AEA while continuing to head European operations and lead AEA’s global Value-Added Industrials team. John became CEO of AEA in 2006 and was named Chairman in 2012. As CEO, he was responsible for AEA’s investment review process and overall strategy and operations. He was also instrumental in the creation of the AEA Private Debt Funds and the AEA Small Business Funds. In 2019, John became Executive Chairman.

John has served on the board of numerous AEA portfolio companies in addition to various other companies. John serves as the chairman or member of the investment committee for all the various AEA private equity and private debt funds.

Before joining AEA, John held various positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, including global head of the chemicals group, member of the European investment banking department’s management committee, head of the European acquisitions, leveraged finance and financial sponsors group, and head of the European natural resources group. Earlier in his career, he was a managing director at Schroder Wertheim in New York and held a number of industrial positions at Atlantic Richfield in Philadelphia.
