New York – August 19, 2016 – AEA Investors’ (“AEA” or the “Firm”) Small Business Fund announced today that its fund has closed the acquisition of Omega Acquisition Corporation (“Omega” or the “Company”), a leading international distributor and assembler of branded and private label aftermarket climate control components for a broad range of vehicles, including automobiles and light trucks, heavy duty trucks, off-road/agricultural equipment and specialty vehicles.
Based in Irving, Texas, Omega serves a highly fragmented base of more than 4,800 customers in over 85 countries throughout the aftermarket distribution chain. Omega serves leading customers across a variety of channels including warehouse distributors, automotive retailers, original equipment manufacturers, climate control specialists and fleets. The Company has 140 employees across two domestic distribution facilities and six regional warehouses, as well as an office in China. Omega has established itself as a performance leader in the industry, with a technology-driven and highly efficient customer service model. Omega’s portfolio of leading brands, combined with its sophisticated sourcing strategy, fulfillment capabilities and category management services, allow its partners to consolidate purchases with a scaled supplier, and the Company continues to differentiate itself through its kitting expertise and product development capabilities.
