New York – August 31, 2023 – AEA Investors’ (“AEA” or the “Firm”) Small Business Private Equity (“AEA SBPE”) team announced that its fund has closed the acquisition of Crane Engineering Sales (“Crane” or the “Company”). The transaction was completed alongside significant reinvestment from the Company’s management team and employee base. Established in 1939 and headquartered in Kimberly, WI, Crane is a provider of flow control and fluid handling distribution, service and engineered skid systems.
AEA believes that Crane represents an exciting opportunity to invest in the attractive industrial distribution market alongside an experienced, forward-thinking management team with a strong history of success. Crane operates in the fluid handling and flow control distribution and services market, which AEA SBPE knows well from its investment in Flow Control Group from 2015 – 2019. The Company’s differentiated position in a large and fragmented market, significant organic growth potential and proven ability to accelerate growth via acquisitions make it a highly attractive asset.
