Accelerating Growth at a Leading Packaging Distributor
TricorBraun Holdings, Inc. (“TricorBraun”) is a leading designer, developer, and distributor of rigid and flexible packaging such as plastic bottles and jars, glass containers, bags and pouches, sprayers, dispensers, and closures. TricorBraun serves as a critical link between a highly fragmented universe of customers and packaging suppliers across a diverse set of end markets including healthcare & nutraceutical, personal care & household cleaning, food & beverage, industrial & household chemicals, and wine & spirits.
AEA’s Middle Market Private Equity (“MMPE”) fund has invested in TricorBraun three times: first from 2004 – 2006, from 2016 – 2021 and 2021 – present. After a successful partnership during AEA MMPE’s first ownership period, AEA MMPE worked closely with TricorBraun’s management team beginning in 2016 to accelerate organic growth through significant investments in the company’s salesforce, lead generation, digital marketing, custom design, and supply chain and purchasing capabilities. Additionally, the AEA MMPE team partnered with management to renew TricorBraun’s focus on M&A, completing nine accretive add-on acquisitions during our second ownership period and establishing several new areas of growth such as flexible packaging. AEA MMPE is excited to remain an investor in TricorBraun to continue building on its past success.

“The team at AEA have been terrific business partners and friends for nearly twenty years. They have provided significant support to help us achieve our growth potential by encouraging us to be more aggressive in our organic growth opportunities, providing capital for acquisitions and helping us expand our business by developing strategies to enter new product lines, end markets and geographies. I value our relationship and am pleased to support AEA over many years.”
