Alex Bales

Alex is a Vice President on AEA’s Middle Market Private Equity team. In his role, he focuses on investment opportunities in the Industrial Technology / Advanced Materials sectors.

Prior to joining AEA, Alex worked in the Consumer & Retail group at Lazard Frères & Co. in New York, focusing on mergers & acquisitions.

Alex graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a B.S. in business administration and a B.A. in mathematics.

Alex has participated in The New York City Mentoring Program for the last three years.
