Middle Market Private Equity Years with AEA
20 Alex is a Partner on AEA’s Middle Market Private Equity team. In this role he focuses on the services sector with particular focus on multi-site or branch based models. Alex currently sits on the boards of Pave America, AmeriVet, Chemical Guys, BMS Enterprises, Jack’s Family Restaurants and ThreeSixty Group. He also served on the boards of former AEA portfolio companies Melissa & Doug, 1-800 Contacts and 24 Hour Fitness.
Prior to joining AEA, Alex was a strategy consultant with Bain & Company in San Francisco, advising both private equity and corporate clients. During his time there, he developed various strategies for clients focused primarily in the technology and telecommunication sectors. Prior to Bain, Alex served as a Henry Luce Scholar working as a consultant to Datacom, the first Internet Service Provider in Mongolia.
Alex earned a B.A. in economics and a minor in information systems from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated with highest distinction and as a Morehead-Cain Scholar.
Alex sits on the board of the Morehead-Cain Scholarship Fund.
