Rahul Goyal

Rahul is a Partner on AEA’s Middle Market Private Equity team. He became the Head of Strategic Relationships in 2021. In his role, he focuses on AEA’s investments in the industrials sector as well as manages AEA’s intermediary, lender, corporate and sponsor relationships. He is currently on the board Verdesian Life Sciences and previously sat on the board of TricorBraun. Rahul also served on the board of former AEA portfolio companies Pro Mach, Spectrum Plastics Group and Swanson Industries.

Prior to joining AEA, Rahul was a strategy consultant with Bain & Co. in Chicago, advising both corporate and private equity clients on strategic issues including business unit strategy, investment evaluation, post merger integration and operations. During his time there, he advised clients across a wide variety of industries including general industrials, consumer products, retail, telecommunications and services sectors.

Rahul earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Northwestern University.

Rahul serves on the Northwestern University McCormick School of Engineering Advisory Council.  Rahul and his family have been long time supporters of the KIPP NJ network of schools and he currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees of KIPP Cooper Norcross, a network of free, open-enrollment renaissance schools located in Camden, NJ educating more than 2,000 students in grades K-12 across 5 schools.  He also serves as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for the Kent Place School, an all-girls independent school located in Summit, NJ.
